Darius Boyd 8

Nice kick returning and ever-dangerous on sweeping plays. Looked effortless the way he returned the ball and a great fill-in for the injured Billy Slater at the back.

Corey Oates 6 ½

Found a wanting in support of a Greg Inglis bust, but a very solid Origin debut from this impressive youngster.

Greg Inglis 6

Kept quiet by opposite Josh Morris. Limited ball.

Justin O'Neill 6

Nice involvement in Queensland's first-half try. Bounced back from early head knock.

Dane Gagai 7 ½

Nice finish for Queensland's first try. Costly bobble from a Robbie Farah grubber cost his side a dropout. But then a crucial bat-down with Blues fullback Matt Moylan in space and Josh Mansour on the outside waiting for a try assist.

Johnathan Thurston 6 ½

Not his most brilliant Origin contest by his high standards, but did enough to manage the game for another Queensland win.

Cooper Cronk 7

Solid at leading team around the park again. Let Maloney run to the line for NSW try but he battled hard despite his well-publicised ankle injury.

Matt Scott 7

Not huge yards but put his hand up to run the tough metres when required.

Cameron Smith (capt) 7

Like Thurston and Cronk, managed the game well enough to allow his team to triumph for the Origin record-breaker for most appearances.

Nate Myles 5 ½

Is out of form as many analysts have suggested, only making 35 metres.

Matt Gillett 6 ½

Dangerous at times running off Thurston.

Sam Thaiday 7 ½

Punchy down left side and always ran hard.

Corey Parker 8

Work horse with plenty of early touches. Good ball distribution too. Outstanding in the tough opening exchanges.

Game ended prematurely after trying to tackle Blues runaway train, David Klemmer.

Josh McGuire 8

Never afraid to put his hand up to earn tough metres. Such a powerhouse in the middle.

Aidan Guerra 6

60 metres and 17 tackles. Not bad for 28 minutes of game time.

Josh Papalii 7 ½

Awkward to handle off bench in attack and defence. Such a danger with the ball.
