QT's name and shame: This week's drink and drug drivers

EVERY Monday the QT publishes the names of drink and drug drivers who have appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court over the past week.

A MAN who was caught drug driving and driving under the influence four times this year will spend Christmas in jail.

Police caught Steven Randall Bates, 47, drug driving at Stanthorpe on January 15, Virginia on April 6 and Daisy Hill on September 16 and driving under the influence at Sunnybank on October 7.

The Stanthorpe man pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to the charges and was sentenced to four months imprisonment.

He will be eligible to apply for parole on January 11.

Bates was disqualified from driving for six months.

MICHELL Ann Briody pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving at Yamanto on June 14. The 28-year-old woman from Yamanto was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with parole on April 11, 2018.

BENJAMIN Luke Hanslow was caught drug driving twice at Churchill on October 17. Hanslow, 34 from Riverview, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to both charges and was disqualified for six months.

He was fined $800.

JASON Matthew Audus pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving at Dinmore on November 5.

The 32-year-old man from Camira was disqualified for one month and fined $500.

PACQUITA Lee Lambert was caught drink driving at Lowood on November 27.

Lambert, 23 from Lowood, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving between the general and middle alcohol limits and was disqualified for three months.

She was fined $450.

WILLIAM John Nolles pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving under the influence at Coominya on April 23.

The 47-year-old from Brassall was disqualified for nine months and fined $700.

POLICE caught Daniel Travis Petersen drink driving at Springfield on November 17. Petersen, 39 from Springfield Lakes, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving between the general and middle alcohol limits and was disqualified for two months.

He was fined $500.

ANTHONY Kevin Turnbull pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving with a drug in his blood or saliva at Boonah on November 18.

Turnbull, 21 from Boonah, was disqualified form driving for three months and fined $300.

APRIL Lauren Wood pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving at Lowood on November 18.

Wood, 18 from Lowood, was between the no and general alcohol limits.

She was disqualified from driving for three months and fined $300.

TRENT Leslie Adams pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving under the influence at Boonah on November 11.

The 34-year-old from Harrisville was disqualified for eight months and fined $850.

CRAIG Elliot Anderson was caught drink driving between the middle and high alcohol limits at Chuwar on November 18. Anderson, 37 from Bundamba, was disqualified for eight months and fined $1000.
