QT’s name and shame: This week’s drink and drug drivers

EVERY Monday, the QT publishes the names of drink and drug drivers who have appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court over the past week.

GLENN Paul Gregory Sharp pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving on May 12, 2016 at Karana Downs. The court heard Sharp was pulled over on Jamberoo Way where he failed a roadside blood-alcohol test. He was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for one month.

KRISTIE Laurice Sullivan pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving on May 21, 2016 at Aratula. The court heard Sullivan was pulled over on Duncan Drive where she registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.154 % - more than three times the legal limit. She was fined $650 and disqualified from driving for six months.

JAMES Alan Clive Barrett pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving on March 3, 2016 at Brassall. The court heard Barrett was pulled over on Tranquillity Circuit where he registered a positive result to methamphetamines. Barrett was placed on an 18 month probation order.

ROBERT James Cox pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving under the influence on April 29, 2016 at North Ipswich. He also pleaded guilty to other driving-related offences. The court heard Cox was pulled over on Holdsworth Road where he registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.193% - nearly four times the legal limit. Cox was jailed for nine months but granted immediate parole and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

DAVID Kongor Ajang pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving on March 27, 2016 at Riverview. The court heard Ajang was pulled over on Brisbane Road where he failed a roadside blood-alcohol test. He was fined $1000 and disqualified from driving for two months.

KELLY Ann Huggins pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving on June 5, 2016 at Eastern Heights. The court heard Huggins was pulled over on Vivian Street where she registered a positive result to methamphetamines. She was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.

DEAN Andrew Marsh pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving on April 16, 2016 at Churchill. The court heard Marsh was pulled over on Lobb Street where he failed a roadside blood-alcohol test. He was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for three months.

CLINT Peter Parkinson pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving on March 22, 2016 at Brassall. The court heard Parkinson was pulled over on Fernvale Road where he registered a positive reading to cannabis. He was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for one month.

STEPHEN Walter Turner pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drink driving on March 24, 2016 at Raceview. The court heard Turner was pulled over on Whitehill Road where he failed a roadside blood-alcohol test. He was fined $100 and disqualified from driving for one month.

WAYNE Phillip Barton pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to drug driving on March 24, 2016 at Camira. The court heard Barton was pulled over on Old Logan Road where he registered positive results to cannabis and methamphetamines. He was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for one month.
