Pub fight leads to $400 fine

A DRUNKEN fight, in which tables were knocked over in Racehorse Hotel after the Ipswich Cup, has led to a man being fined $400.

Timothy Brendan William Dann, 30, yesterday pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to disorderly behaviour.

Police were patrolling the car park of Racehorse Hotel at 9.10pm after the race day on Saturday, June 15, when a violent fight was noticed inside the hotel restaurant.

During the fight the pair knocked over tables and were wrestling on the floor when police attended.

The court heard the fight started as a verbal disagreement. After being taken outside, Dann swore at the police.

He was fined $400.
