Prosecution drops case against truckie

A CASE has been dropped against a Queensland truck driver charged with the manslaughter of an 80-year-old motorist after allegedly losing control of his load.

Christopher Paul Hennessy was on trial in Brisbane Supreme Court over the May 2016 death of Aldo Casasola, who was crushed in his car when the trucks amusement ride load allegedly swung out.

Today, the prosecution abandoned the case and Hennessy, who pleaded not guilty, was discharged.
