Property crime spike near city and West Ipswich

IPSWICH police are reporting a recent spike in property crime near the CBD and in West Ipswich.

Senior Constable Pru Wallace said police were increasing patrols of the affected areas in an attempt to prevent further offences.

"Residents can assist police by ensuring that property is locked and secure at all times," Snr Const Wallace said.

Victims of property crime can contact their local police station, or Policelink on 131444 to report the matter.
