Program shows kids care for their pets

THE RSPCA'S holiday programs at its Wacol Animal Care Campus give youngsters hands-on experience of caring for animals.

Canine Carers is for children aged six to 10 years who love dogs.

They'll learn how to meet new dogs safely with the help of an "education dog".

The program will teach what a dog needs to be healthy and happy, and how to create toys at home for a pet to play with.

The cost for this program is $25 and it runs from 1.30-3.30pm at the campus, 139 Wacol Station Rd, Wacol, on January 14 and 22.

Also on offer is a Wild for Wildlife program, or Wildlife Crusaders for children aged 11-15 years, on January 17 and 25.

Feline Friends for older kids takes place on January 16 and 24.

For more information or bookings, phone 3258 5616 or send an email to education@rspcaqld.org.au.
