Prized shirt up for grabs

WANT to own a rare piece of sporting history? Do you want to help the Ipswich flood victims at the same time?

All you have to do is make a bid for a prized Australian Socceroos shirt being auctioned.

The shirt was worn by Leeds and Socceroos midfielder Neil Kilkenny during the recent Asian Cup tournament where Australia reached the final. Kilkenny’s Socceroos teammates have signed the shirt to enhance its value.

The current bid stands at $2200, thanks to a local businessman keen to help out.

However, further bids over that offer will be accepted.

Perhaps a Leeds fan would like to hang the prized shirt over his or her bar.

Email your bid, with contact details, to: qtsport@qt.com.au.

All proceeds will go directly to assisting Ipswich.
