Pregnant woman injured in crash

A HEAVILY pregnant woman was one of two people seriously injured in a crash at Haigslea this morning.

Police said two vehicles collided at Claus Rd, near the Warrego Highway intersection, about 8.45am.

A 32-year-old woman who was 38 weeks pregnant sustained serious chest injuries and was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital.

A 48-year-old man sustained shoulder, abdominal and possible spinal injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Police towed one of the vehicles away for a mechanical inspection.

Investigations are continuing.
