Young woman and taxi driver robbed at knife point

Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred in Goodna last night that are believed to be linked.

The first occurred about 10.40pm when a man approached a 19-year-old woman who was using an ATM at a shopping centre on the corner of Queen and Albert Sts.

The man has threatened the woman with a knife and demanded she withdraw an amount of money. The woman complied before the man fled on foot along Albert St.

The second occurred about 11.20pm when a taxi driver was threatened by a man armed with a knife he had just picked up in Arkins Cres.

The man demanded a sum of money from the male taxi driver before fleeing on foot with the cash.

No one was physically injured.
