Police seek help to find robbers

DETECTIVES have released a Comfit image of a man and photos of two men they hope may be able to assist with inquiries into an armed robbery at a popular Goodna pub.

Around 7.45am Sunday, two men walked into the Irish Heart hotel on Queen St and seriously assaulted a 46-year-old male employee, punching him in the face a number of times.

They then approached a 21-year-old female employee, intimating they had a syringe while attempting to take money from a desk.

After a short struggle, one of the offenders held the woman by the throat and struck her on the face.

The men stole cash and fled on foot before getting into a small white car on Queen St with two women inside. They were last seen travelling down Alice St towards Camira.

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
