Hunt goes on for Ipswich Cup attacker

POLICE investigating the assault of a man in the aftermath of the Ipswich Cup are appealing for witnesses.

The victim was struck by an unknown person about 1.50am on Sunday, June 14, causing injuries that required treatment at Ipswich Hospital.

Police say the victim was knocked unconscious in the attack, which occurred on Brisbane Rd, outside the Racehorse Hotel.

Anyone with information that could assist police should phone Senior Constable Litfin of the Ipswich Police on 3437 2777.
