UPDATE: Missing woman found safe and well

UPDATE: Police have found a missing 50-year-old woman safe and well.

EARLIER: Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a woman missing from Mackay.

Sabrina Peterstorfer, 50, is an Austrian national in Australia visiting family and was last seen around 9.30am yesterday at a Les Cameron Avenue address in Mount Pleasant.

Family believe Ms Peterstorfer had been intending to travel to Alice Springs or Uluru, possibly initially on foot, but it is possible she is still in the Mackay area.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare as she left her mobile phone behind and has limited access to money.
She is described as being Caucasian in appearance with a proportionate build, a fair complexion, around 159cm tall.

She has brown eyes and brown hair with a natural grey streak in the front.

When she speaks English, she has an Austrian (German-sounding) accent.

She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt and olive shorts.   Anyone who may have seen Ms Peterstorfer should contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
