Police hunt takeaway robbers

POLICE are searching for two men who robbed a takeaway store in Booval last night.

Just after 8.30pm, two men entered the Brisbane Road premises and took cash from the till at the back of the store.

One of the men then assaulted a female staff member before both fleeing the scene.

The woman was transported to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries.

The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 185 centimetres tall with a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava and dark-coloured clothing. He also has a black and red tattoo on his left hand.

The second man is also described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall with a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava and dark-coloured clothing.

Police investigations are continuing.
