Thieves brandished rifle and knife in Springfield robbery

A TAVERN at Springfield was robbed on Saturday by two men brandishing a rifle and a knife.

Early investigations indicated the pair threatened a female and male employee at a Springfield Parkway business about 10.30pm before they fled with a sum of cash.

Both were wearing balaclavas and gloves. No one was injured as a result of the robbery and police investigations are continuing.
