Plant expansion brings 70 new jobs

SOMERSET Regional Council has approved the expansion of the Kilcoy Pastoral Company complex, resulting in an additional 70 staff being employed at the plant.

The approval involves the construction of a new chiller and marshalling complex, automated pallet system, coldroom and freezer storage area.

Mayor Graeme Lehmann said council was excited about the continued growth of food industries in the region.
