Pilot feared dead after plane crash near Helidon
A PILOT is believed to have died after a single engine plane crash near Helidon.
The grounds of Emu Gully Adventure Education Park, best known for hosting the country's largest annual Anzac reenactment festival, is under a cloud of smoke.
The plane crashed into a gully on the property about 9.15am.
It is not known whether the pilot was due to attend the 100th birthday celebrations of the Toowoomba Aerodrome today.
Several vintage aircraft have flown in to give adventure tours to aviation enthusiasts today.
