Pile driver slowing traffic on mwy
UPDATE: POLICE say it is likely to take several hours to remove a pile driver which fell from the back of a truck on the Logan Motorway this afternoon.
The 42-tonne piece of machinery fell from the back of a truck on the Centenary Highway off ramp about 3pm, damaging the ramp and a section of guard rail.
A large section of road will be completely shut while cranes are brought in to lift the pile driver.
It will then be assessed for damage.
Police are organising traffic diversions and motorists should avoid the area if possible.
