JUST when you thought it was safe to go into the water.

The Facebook page Shark Spotters shared a photo submitted by Paul McClear, showing a tiger shark which was sighted near Urangan Pier on November 1. 

The shark was believed to be between six and seven feet in length.

The photo was "liked" more than 400 times and was shared 588 times.

Jayden Martin, who was fishing from the pier on the same day, commented on the post and said he had caught the tiger shark and released it.
