Pets can meet 'Santa Paws' at Ipswich City Square event

WHETHER they're furry, finned or scaled, Santa wants to meet your pets in a special event in Ipswich City Square tonight.

The square will play host to a free Santa photo session for pet owners and their animal family members.

Whether it's a dog, cat, snake or pony, all animals are welcome as long as they are restrained on a lead or in a pet carrier.

Santa, who is allergy-free, will be available from 4pm-7pm.

The photos are free but staff will also be collecting donations to help the Australian Animal Rescue Group Queensland.

For those without a furry friend to take a snap with Santa, there will be plenty to meet there with reindeer to be among the special guests.

Families are invited to meet the reindeer, including a young baby deer, and have a photo however pets must be kept away from the enclosure.
