Petersen should be more positive

IN RESPONSE to Patricia Petersen's sad portrayal of Division 3 in the QT 3/03/16, it is a shame she does not focus on any positives.

My husband grew up in Redbank Plains and Riverview, myself in Dinmore. Our first home was in Redbank Plains for nearly 20 years and we have been at Springfield now for over 15 years.

We've had good neighbours, people took pride in their homes and they were good areas to grow up in and raise a family.

Patricia's description of Riverview and Division 3 is one needing security guards to ward off drug users, armed home invasions and the elderly are at risk of being shot or burned in their own homes.

While we want councillors who will address the issues, we should also have individuals who portray our city in a positive light so that people will want to live in our great city.
