Penalty sends Lisa packing

DESPITE winning the contest and having a breakthrough week with trainer Michelle Bridges, Lisa Ritherdon was eliminated from The Biggest Loser tonight.

The 42-year-old mum from NSW followed in the footsteps of her new love interest Simon Hurley, who put his hand up for elimination last week so that Ritherdon could stay in the weight-loss competition.

"I came last in the challenge and I got a 1kg penalty, that killed me," said Ritherdon.

At weigh-in, she lost just 0.5kg after the penalty and fell below the yellow line with Alex Zorzi, whose alliance with former white team members Kasey Cheesman and Michelle Cortesao saved him from elimination.

Ritherdon said she wasn't surprised by her elimination.

"There's no hard feelings," she said.

"It was really disappointing. I was really more upset with the fact that I just got my head back into the game and ready to kick some butt."

But it was a happy reunion for the mum with her two sons.

"I missed my boys so much," she said.

"It's the longest I've ever been away from them. It was really really tough. It was great to see them so proud of me. They said 'oh my gosh mum you're so tiny'. They're enjoying having a healthier mum."

The primary school teacher hopes to lose another 10kg in time for the finale.

"If I can get to 65kg I'd be really happy with that," she said.

"I'm a size 12 now, so I'm really happy with where I am."

The Biggest Loser airs Sundays at 6.30pm and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Ten.
