Paramedics called after man, woman allegedly assaulted

TWO people are recovering in hospital following an alleged assault at West Ipswich overnight.

Paramedics were called to a private residence just before 6pm following reports there had been an assault.

A man and a woman were taken to Ipswich Hospital in stable conditions with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Queensland Police spokesperson this morning said police were not called to the incident.
