Pair is charged over Gatton armed robbery

POLICE have charged a man and a woman following an attempted armed robbery in Gatton.

About 7.30pm Friday, a woman entered a diner on Railway St and allegedly produced a knife and demanded money from the attendant.

The attendant didn't comply and the woman fled the scene and allegedly got into a vehicle.

A man and a woman were taken into custody a short time later.

A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Gatton, have been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery.

They are both scheduled to appear in the Gatton Magistrates Court on June 22.
