Pair charged after police chase

POLICE charged two men with riding in a stolen car following a brief pursuit at Karalee on Wednesday.

A Hyundai, which officers did not initially recognise as a stolen vehicle, sped away from them while travelling east-bound on the Warrego Highway about 2pm.

The two offenders were arrested after a brief foot chase near Queensborough Parade and it later emerged that the vehicle was stolen but was yet to be reported.

Police said there were no traffic incidents or injuries as a result of the pursuit.
