Origin greats treat kids to lunch

QUEENSLAND Origin legend Steve Price and Broncos star Ben Te'o yesterday treated 70 Ipswich school kids to a free lunch at Sizzler.

The lucky students were part of the Former Origin Greats (FOGS) Achieving Results Through Indigenous Education (ARTIE) program that aims to reward improvements in attendance, behaviour, academic achievement and effort.

Price said results from Ipswich State High and Redbank Plains High were among the best in the program.

"We got 70 people here today including kids and teachers, which is the biggest turn out we've had," Price said.

"It's a credit to these kids that they are taking responsibility for their own education."
