Open Day showcases diversity

ST PETER Claver College (SPCC) students showed off their dance, culinary, and athletic skills, along with many other talents, at the SPCC Open Day.

Prospective students and their parents enjoyed art exhibitions, scientific and robotic demonstrations, dance performances and delicious food at the college.

The Hospitality Coffee Shop served cafe cuisine, while two chefs prepared Sri Lankan curries and Japanese-style pizza.

The open day showcased SPCC's diverse curriculum.

Principal Diarmuid O'Riordan said he strongly believes in students taking a hands-on approach to education, responsible citizenship and community participation.

He said SPCC's outreach programs included a street van, nursing home visitations and the Sri Lankan Orphanage Support Group.
