One Nation to unveil Cr Hansen as Maryborough candidate

ONE Nation's candidate to contest the seat of Maryborough will be very well-known to local voters.

Fraser Coast councillor James Hansen will today be launched as one of the aspiring state candidates to take on Labor's Bruce Saunders, and help fuel One Nation's return to the state political arena.

The dairy farmer has a long association with local government, having served on the Woocoo Shire Council before the amalgamated Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Mr Hansen will be one of 36 candidates unveiled by One Nation at an event in Brisbane today.

Damian Huxham, who will run for the seat of Hervey Bay, was one of the first One Nation candidates to be endorsed.

Mr Huxham said he was excited to see Cr Hansen join the One Nation team

"James is a well-respected active member of the community," Mr Huxham said.

"I look forward to working along side of James to make Queensland great again."
