Off road for Xmas crash

A MAN who crashed his car after having “too many beers” has been ordered not to drive for 10 months.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash on Christmas Day to find John William Kemp, the driver, being treated by ambulance officers for a suspected broken nose.

Kemp, 32, told police he had “too many beers prior to driving”.

Ipswich Magistrate’s Court heard Kemp was breathalysed and recorded 0.161.

He had been driven home from a party, but had then set out to his brother’s house.

Kemp pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of liquor, was fined $750 and disqualified for 10 months.
