Nursery supports Team Cupcake

TEAM Cupcake is dedicated to supporting women through cancer with friendship and making life count day by day, moment by moment.

Chelsea Van Rijn, of Trevallan Lifestyle Centre, said she got to know about Team Cupcake through Ipswich Women in Business.

Ms Van Rijn said her Brassall nursery was planning to donate money to breast cancer research in October but decided that was too impersonal.

"So what we're trying to do is on the 24th, which is Pink Ribbon Day for the Breast Cancer Foundation, anyone who wears pink into the shop, 10% of their sales will go to Team Cupcake," she said.

A group of Ipswich women started Team Cupcake to raise money so a friend with secondary cancer could get treatment.

The group had such an amazing response from Ipswich businesses it decided to branch out and help other Ipswich women.
