NRL to probe Dogs’ handling of Barba

FORMER Bulldogs chief executive Todd Greenberg is in the spotlight for reportedly failing to tell NRL boss David Smith of assault allegations against fullback Ben Barba by his former partner, Ainslie Currie.

Asked in February whether the club's suspension of Barba was for a specific incident off the field, Greenberg said: "Not so much an incident - it was just a manifestation I think of a lot of issues over a period of time."

Canterbury has been asked to hand over all documentation relating to its suspension of Barba to the NRL's integrity unit, as part of an investigation into the club's handling of its former star player, who has been signed by the Broncos.
