North Ipswich servo robbed

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery at a service station in North Ipswich last night.

Two men entered the store on Downs Street about 10.20pm and one of them produced a machete, while the other  removed products from the shelves.

The man holding the machete demanded money and the attendant complied. The man also stole cigarettes before they both fled the store on foot down Lawrence Street.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion and around 175cm tall. He was wearing dark three quarter length shorts and a black hooded jumper.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 170cm tall. He was wearing grey shorts and a camouflage hooded jumper.
