Norman Street Bridge project comes to life on video

COUNCIL has launched a video presentation of the proposed Norman Street Bridge project which gives viewers a bird's eye view of the proposal linking North Ipswich and East Ipswich.

Ipswich City Council City Infrastructure Committee chairwoman Cheryl Bromage said the flyover video had been commissioned by council to give the community a fresh look at plans for the vital piece of infrastructure.

"This video is a great way for the community to see council's vision for the Norman Street Bridge," Cr Bromage said.

"The video is based on a 3D model developed for the Ipswich City Centre using modern computer graphics technology. The model is intended to be used to visually represent many development projects with the Norman Street Bridge being the first example."

The video can be accessed at http://youtube/_ dwo ZXaodIk

Based on forecast growth, council believes the new bridge is needed within the next eight years.
