Ipswich teams out to defend Queensland touch title

NINE teams from the Ipswich Touch Association are set to compete at the 2013 Queensland Touch Junior State Cup in Hervey Bay from July 5-7.

The Junior State Cup features boys and girls teams from regions statewide competing in U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 age divisions.

Ipswich Touch Association has nominated teams in the U10 girls, U10 boys, U12 girls, U12 boys, U14 girls, U14 boys, U16 boys, U18 girls and U18 boys divisions.

The tournament attracts 180 teams from across Queensland competing for trophies in their individual divisions, as well as the overall Paul Eggers/Russell Moulds Trophy awarded to the association that wins the most divisions on a count.

During the 2012 Junior State Cup, the Ipswich Touch Association took out the U12 boys competition. Gold Coast Touch Association won the overall 2012 Eggers Moulds Trophy.
