Next Top Model Abbie wants more

RISING to the top four of Australia's Next Top Model series on Foxtel has given Brushgrove teenager Abbie Weir a taste of the future and she's hungry for more.

While Abbie didn't quite make it to the finale, after being voted out in the episode which aired on Tuesday night, she says she's pretty grateful for the way it's all turned out.

"I'm definitely going to pursue modelling as a career but first I need to finish the HSC in October," the 17-year-old said.

"Hopefully I'll get with an international agency after that."

Abbie plans to move to Sydney in the next few months, and then travel the world to capitalise on the experience the series has offered her.

"The whole experience was fantastic - meeting new people... the cast and crew were amazing," she said, although she admits she found living away from home for the first time challenging.

"For the first three weeks I just wanted to come home; but I got over it after that... then I didn't want to come home," she said.

In Sydney for the finale, which will air next Tuesday on Foxtel, Abbie says she's backing 16-year-old Melissa to win.
