New child care centre to accommodate up to 75 children

A NEW approved child care centre will be welcomed by families in the Springfield Lakes area.

The centre will be located at the Spring Lake Metro complex.

Ipswich Planning and Development spokesman Paul Tully said council had approved an application to extend the ground level of the existing commercial office building at the complex for the child care centre.

The centre will include five learning rooms to accommodate up to 75 children.

"Finding enrolment availability at local child care centres is a constant struggle for so many families and this new development will help ease some of that burden," Cr Tully said.
