Never licensed driver caught driving

A MAN produced his 18+ card because he was unlicensed when police pulled him over, an Ipswich court heard.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Clint Graham Baranyai had never been licensed and his learner's permit expired December 8 last year.

Baranyai was picked up on Brisbane Rd, Bundamba on October 19 and charged with driving unlicensed.

The 26-year-old told the court it was a "mistake to drive" and he hadn't renewed it because he was "just lazy".

Magistrate Virginia Sturgess noted Baranyai had a history for failing to comply with learner requirements and fined him $350.
