Motorcyclist hurt in collision with car

A 72-year-old man was airlifted from the scene of a two-vehicle accident by RACQ CareFlight Rescue near Kalbar yesterday.

The man was travelling along a rural road when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle causing serious injuries to his lower limbs.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter went to a location near Cunningham Highway shortly after 11am.

Once on scene, the CareFlight clinical crew assisted Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services personnel to treat the man for his injuries.

The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane for further treatment.

He was in a stable condition.
