Mother and son accused of murder to stand trial

A MOTHER and son accused of murder are expected to go before Bundaberg Supreme Court this week.

Samantha Brownlow, 45, and her son Corey Lovell, 21, are charged with the murder of Brownlow's 62-year-old stepfather Robin Behrendorff whose body was found in his Burnett Heads home in April.

While no pleas have formally been entered it is believed Lovell will plead not guilty with a trial set down to begin tomorrow.

Brownlow's intentions have not yet been made clear.

Police claim Mr Behrendorff had sustained severe trauma and believe he was murdered on April 21.
