Morning tea for school mothers

MUMS at Karalee State School are in for a treat when Australia's Biggest Morning Tea rolls around on May 21.

Tivoli mother Cara Smith Buchholtz has decided to base her Cancer Council fundraiser at the school hall.

"It's more of an excuse to get people together. They can drop the kids off at school and come up," Ms Buchholz said.

"It's a 'celebrating women' theme, with a meditation session.

"It's all trying to let women know there's support out there."

Ms Buchholtz said she was inspired to host the public morning tea after her own family was touched by the disease.

The morning tea runs from 9.30-11.30am.

Entry is a gold coin donation or a plate of food and will include raffle tickets.
