More hot days to follow today's top of 35

Ipswich is set for more hot weather with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a high of 35 degrees for the city today.

Boonah and Esk will experience similar conditions but it will be even hotter in Laidley and Gatton with 36C and 37C forecast respectively.

Partly cloudy skies and the chance of a shower will make tomorrow somewhat more tolerable with the mercury touching 32C.

It will be short lived however with the heat returning on Saturday with a forecast of 34 degrees with the only respite being the chance of an afternoon shower.

The temperature ease off a little on Sunday (31C) thanks to partly cloudy conditions and a high chance of showers and a thunderstorm during the day.

The seesaw conditions will continue into next week with a moderate 27C forecast for Monday, 30C for Tuesday and another sizzling 35C for Wednesday.
