More funds for building community facilities

IPSWICH City Council has been offered $396,000 by the federal government to help build or upgrade community facilities such as libraries, community centres and sports grounds.

Minister for Infrastructure and local government Anthony Albanese said the new funding had been made available following the $220 million boost to the community infrastructure program.

“The announcement builds on $10,921,000 already provided to Ipswich City Council in addition to the regular funding from our Roads to Recovery and financial assistance grants.”
