More flash-floods experienced
FLASH-flooding swept across the Lockyer and Brisbane valleys after a thunderstorm lashed the region yesterday morning.
Several inches of rain bucketed down on already heavily saturated towns causing flash-flooding on major roads from Forest Hill through to Ipswich and north-west to Fernvale and Lowood.
Laidley, Marburg, Minden, Lowood, Fernvale and Glenore Grove all reported incidents of flash-flooding.
Within a few hours flash- flooding across the region had subsided but the rain was enough to cause further damage to the road network. A Main Roads spokeswoman said repair crews were working around the clock.
