Mod Squad to entertain crowd at Goodna Jacaranda Festival
IPSWICH band the Mod Squad will be taking to the stage at the Goodna Jacaranda Festival tonight, after the fireworks display.
The Mod Squad are a five piece band who love to play classic originals and covers from some of the world's biggest names.
Two members of the band are from Sunnyboys, who were an Australian power pop/post-punk band that was formed in Sydney in 1980.
Band member Tony Scarlett said this was the first time they had headlined at the Goodna Jacaranda Festival and were looking forward to entertaining the crowd.
"This will be our first time at the festival but we hope to do it more regularly," he said. "We know the Jacaranda Festival will have a lot of people there and we are going to be playing some really great tunes.
"We will be going on stage at 9.15am after the fireworks on Friday night and will be on stage for roughly two-and-a-half hours, maybe even three.
"We will be playing 23 songs like ROCK in the USA, Born to be Wild and more."
