Men wearing hoods and masks force entry into Silkstone home

POLICE are investigating a burglary with violence that occurred in Silkstone yesterday evening.

Around 6.30pm, three men wearing hoods and masks forced entry into a residence on Macquarie Street.

The men forced the residents to the ground and rummaged through the property before leaving with a sum of money.

The two residents, an 86-year-old man and an 82-year-old woman were not physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the incident to contact police via Policelink on 131444.

Investigations are continuing.
