OPINION: Meet the candidate forums set for Springfield

THE first of our meet the candidate forums will be held in USQ Springfield's main auditorium this Thursday night.

The night will start at 5pm and we'll have the seven candidates vying for election in Divisions 1-2-9.

Each candidate will have three minutes to tell you why you should give them your vote.

We'll have question forms at the night for you to fill out, and for those who can't make it to Springfield, you can go online to the QT website and detail a question to be asked.

It can be for just one of the candidates or for any of them.

Once again we'll bring you a detailed analysis in the QT on how each candidate performs, while online we will have continual updates and videos from the night.

The 14 candidates for Divisions 3 and 5 will be the next to face the public and that will be at USQ Ipswich on Monday, March 14.

The three mayoral candidates have also been invited to attend on that night, which will start at 6pm.

Our final candidate forum will start at 5pm on Tuesday, at USQ Ipswich and will feature the 14 hopefuls for Divisions 4-6-7-8 and 10.

While the coverage will be extensive, there is nothing like listening to your candidates in person to judge their worthiness for your vote.

I trustI'll see you there.
