Experts called for evidence in claims against hospital

MEDICAL experts will give evidence at a district court hearing next month in a case involving a former nurse and Ipswich Hospital.

The woman is suing Queensland Health, including the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service district, after she was injured on the job during a staff shortage.

The woman has claimed she was forced to do clinical work that was beyond her duties and she received three injuries.

She is claiming damages from the hospital.

On Tuesday the case was briefly mentioned at Brisbane District Court ahead of a hearing next month.

The court heard that evidence would be presented from various medical experts.

The hearing is scheduled for November 3 and 4.
