Mayor's death brings up an age-old question
WHY are good people taken far too soon, yet bad people seem to continue unscathed?
Philosophers, sages, and religious leaders have tried to answer this question throughout the ages.
A leading Ipswich psychiatrist once told me that there are two kinds of people; "citizens and just plain bad people".
The citizens are taken before their time, which brings me back to "why?"
Perhaps this next statement may help: "Love not what we have, but who we have, for the time we have". (Dr John Irvine, former QT contributor).
Our prayer to the loved ones of Lockyer Mayor Steve Jones and writers Harper Lee and Umberto Eco.
