Police release image of car after man fires gun in Buderim

POLICE have released an image of a vehicle as investigations continue after a firearm was discharged at a Sunshine Coast motel on Thursday afternoon.

Around 1.45pm, police attended the King Street, Buderim address after reports a man had threatened a 29-year-old woman with a gun.

The woman managed to leave the address through the back door before the man fired a shot into the front wall of the room.

The man then fled the scene.

Police are encouraging anyone who can identify the vehicle, its owner or location to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Officers are also looking for a man who is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his early 20s, of a slim build and around 180cm tall with short hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark-coloured shorts and has a tattoo across his back.

Investigations are continuing.

About 1.45pm yesterday, police attended the Buderim Motor Inn on King Street after reports a man had threatened a 29-year-old woman with a gun.

The woman managed to leave the address through the back door before the man fired a shot into the front wall of the room.

The man then fled the scene.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, in his early 20s, of a slim build and around 180cm tall with short hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark coloured shorts and has a tattoo across his back.
