Man struck by spinning machinery in farming accident

AN RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter crew was tasked to a farm accident in Thornton, near Laidley this morning.

It's understood a 69-year-old man was working with farm equipment when he was struck by a piece of spinning machinery, causing serious head and neck injuries.

The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
